Wed, 21 Jul 2010 18:39:33 -0700 Jason1 22@/forum/discussions Have you guys considered opening a fitting center in Hawaii. Perfect weather all year round golf. If not can we get some demos. Hawaii really needs a good fitting center. For as much golf you can get in out her I am disgusted in the lack of facilities. Thanks

I am impressed http://scratchgolf.com/forum/discussion/21/i-am-impressed Thu, 08 Jul 2010 18:18:16 -0700 BSIZE 21@/forum/discussions I just picked up two new wedges 53SS (moved to 51) and a 58SS, and I must say a fond farewell to my long friends that have been in the bag for sometime. These are the BEST feeling wedges I have ever played. The control is ridiculous, and the feel is sweet.

Now for my problem. I live 30-45 minutes from Chattanooga, TN, and I am afraid I may have to check on getting a set of the irons. Is the Chatt facility available for fitting?

Thanks

tnc VS egg ? http://scratchgolf.com/forum/discussion/16/tnc-vs-egg Wed, 28 Apr 2010 23:08:08 -0700 rob 16@/forum/discussions im trying to figure out which grind is right for me.
i currently use vokey spin mills 54 (8*bounce) & 60 degree (4* bounce), but i have been going thru a swing change past 2 years, and i am starting to attack the ball (steeper) than i used to. I have always felt more comfortable with the leading edge closer to the ground on tight lies, but i feel that i probable need to change my wedges to have a bit more bounce. ( i use to sweep the ball more, but now i am taking a slightly steep attack, and taking a small divot on full shots.

if i were to stick with the new volkey wedges, i wd prob go 54.11 & 60.07, for my new wedges.

my mishits are thin & fat equally.

i have talked to my buddy who owns scratch wedges, and he's pretty good at analyzing my game, and says that im def driver/slider and i sd look at the tnc or egg grinds.

so my question is, tnc or egg? i understand the egg has thinner sole width, and tnc has moderate sole width.
both prob suit my moderate angle of attack, and both with medium camber, but which way should i go.

i guess my questions are, which is better or more versatile from tight lies?
which is better from use int he bunker.

i do like to manipulate the face, to play high semi flop shots around the green, yet i want a wege with a grind that i can use from tight lies to play a bump and run. also want to have enuff bounce to be able to use it in the bunker. does this make sense?

what do u suggest?

i wl prob make a call to your customer service before i purchase, but just thought i throw it out there for now.

thanks,
rob

(im an 8 handicap, and i play mostly on the east coast, NY/NJ area)

Bounce / Grind Recommendation http://scratchgolf.com/forum/discussion/19/bounce-grind-recommendation Wed, 02 Jun 2010 12:17:19 -0700 Sam 19@/forum/discussions I'm definitely a Driver/Slider, and I have the DS 8620 58 degree, which I love. Want to online order a 53 degree sand wedge, but I'm a poor bunker player and feel like I need the extra bounce in the DD grinds. Unable to demo. Would this be a sound decision, or should I stick with DS grind?

Accessories http://scratchgolf.com/forum/discussion/9/accessories Mon, 25 Jan 2010 15:52:47 -0800 chuck 9@/forum/discussions I am definitely looking forward to the new accessories that Scratch is going to release.
What are some of your ideas for some of the things you would like to see them do?
Me personally I would love to see a nice all white stand bag with a 9.5" - 10" opening for space with a giant custom color Scratch (S) on the side. That old english S is a great eye catcher. Hats: same thing, different colored S on black, white or blue hats.

What are some of your thoughts?

I am thinking about some tour customs. Any suggestions for style and shaft. http://scratchgolf.com/forum/discussion/10/i-am-thinking-about-some-tour-customs.-any-suggestions-for-style-and-shaft. Sun, 31 Jan 2010 00:32:04 -0800 canuckscratchlover 10@/forum/discussions I am a mid handicapper and am thinking a custom EZ set but with the square grooves in 5 to 7 irons and then a split cavity 8 to gw.
What do you think?

A little disappointed... http://scratchgolf.com/forum/discussion/14/a-little-disappointed... Sun, 28 Mar 2010 17:09:06 -0700 danbailey24 14@/forum/discussions Through my local pro, I ordered a set of SB-1's approximately 3 weeks ago. I was told that they would ship out in 8-10 business days. My pro called this pasted Friday, and he was told that you had no heads, and didn't know when they would be arriving. He was told that you were unsure when my irons would be able to be built. I can understand not having material. I'd keep my inventory as low as possible, too, with today's economic situation. It just would have been nice to have a representative call US to tell us about the situation instead of US having to call and check on irons that were supposed to be shipped 2 weeks ago...

Not giving up on SCRATCH. Perhaps there was a good reason we were not contacted about the shortage and the delay...

Thinking about changing wedges http://scratchgolf.com/forum/discussion/15/thinking-about-changing-wedges Mon, 05 Apr 2010 17:19:28 -0700 Todd 15@/forum/discussions I currently play Mizuno wedges. Which Scratch wedges would be the closest to these?
