The standard groove in our Tour Custom, 1018 and 8620 Wedge for 2010 is our proprietary “ABC” groove. ABC stands for “All Bite, no Chew” and they deliver exactly that kind of performance. These square shaped grooves are the maximum width and depth allowed by the USGA for maximum spin from any lie. The edges of the grooves are rounded to reduce chewing up your golf ball. These grooves spin as much as any on the market but cause less damage to the cover of your ball. These grooves do not conform to the new USGA Condition of Competition for Professionals but conform for Amateurs until 2024.

The standard groove in our Tour Custom and Retail Irons for 2010 is our new proprietary “ABC-V” groove. This new groove is designed to meet the new USGA Condition of Competition for Professionals and is legal for play everywhere from the PGA Tour to your local Saturday Foursome. This groove is designed to maximize the overall groove area on the entire face of the golf club while still conforming to the new rules.

Tour Custom, 1018 and 8620 Wedges are also available with our new “ABC-V” groove on a special order basis depending on availability.
